I guess I'll post in this thread too.

They also added a non-CVO Road Glide Ultra with a Twin Cooled 103.

Posted this over at RG.Org for the guys that don't want to dig into a few different pages of reports.

...............Yes, there's going to be a wet ultra.

Here's the pages from the report put in this thread.

Pix with the green box shows the bike WITHOUT the wet heads.

Notice the emissions..

Pix with the red box shows the bikes WITH the wet heads.

Follow the link. It takes you to the PDF of the bikes with the wet heads.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/hmc/2016/harleydavidson_m0050217_1688-1802_0d7_hn.pdf

Take a close look at the link and you'll see the two different engine sizes listed right in the link. 1688 and 1802.

Here's the link for the air cooled engines. You don't see an 1802 in this link.

I find it interesting that they are bringing the CVO Road Glide Ultra back again this year. If they had followed past history, I would have expected a CVO Road Glide Custom. Very interesting indeed. And they are introducing the Road Glide Ultra this year in the regular lineup. Must be some sort of financial calculation going on.

They're doing a CVO Street Glide and Limited again too, dropped the Softail Deluxe.
It is odd for them to do the same CVO's back to back.

The "other" Ultra  :P ,that has a different nose than ours has been made every year since '06. They just added Limited name to it once the wet heads came out. They did the the SG for a few years in a row before dropping them for the Sharks for a few years in a row also.

... dropped the Softail Deluxe.
...
The Softail sheets haven't been posted, so this can't really be inferred.  I suspect it will be true in the end, though.  They've released a set of CARB reports every Friday, with only the Softails remaining.  Maybe we'll know in a couple of days.

Curious to see how this plays out.

Also, listed the Street Bob with the softails instead of the dynas.  Probably just an administrative error....

There are at least two possibilities.

Number one-just a mistake on the CARB report and both are CVO's

Number two-They release a 110 with a different "configuration" as the typical CVO, without the 255 cam and without the CVO badged heads, to try to boost sales of the Softail line calling these two 'Specials'
Then next year bring this 110 to the whole lineup. Kinda like they did with the Dynas with the 96 and six speed back in the day. If this is what they are doing you can bet the 120 will roll out in CVO's next year.

I'm agreeing with you on this one. Will see what happens at the meetings in a few weeks.

Which option do you think is more likely Mike?

One or Two?

Looks like it's gonna be option 2, so I will bet there are 120's coming in CVO bikes in 2017.

Two

Twin Cam 110 Harley Fat Boy S and Softail Slim S for 2016
http://blog.motorcycle.com/2015/08/12/manufacturers/harley-davidson/twin-cam-110-harley-davidson-fat-boy-s-and-softail-slim-s-for-2016/?utm_medium=display&utm_source=relatedscout&utm_content=title-3

They're speculating in a blog the same as we are here. I fully believe it though.
Now the big question, how many people that have thought of a new bike for '16 will now wait for '17 to see what engine choices are out there? After all, with Indian making the 111 stock size, MoCo can't be outdone can they :P

Local dealer told me months ago there would have to be major changes in 2017 to meet new stricter EPA regs. He said all bikes would require liquid cooling to meet the regs.

That story is certainly not new...
