I thought it was me. I never got the guy to begin with. Figured maybe it was because I wasn't Sveedish or whatever. Don't feel so bad now. If I'd been a fan I'd be feeling like I just found out Santa was a fraud.

Morale of the story, if you don't have any heros, you don't have to deal with the letdown when you find out they're not.

I think that article should be re-titled "The Whimper of Hollow Journalism".  It's obvious that he's pandering his ignorance to the masses.  Anyone that even has a semblance of an idea as to why bikers cross the country to "Ride to the Wall", would never even consider writing the drivel that he did.  I won't even compliment him by calling him a dickhead.   Calling him that would be putting him 5 rungs higher on the evolution ladder then he really is.

I rode on the central route on Run for The Wall and in the Rolling Thunder this year.
Being a Vietnam vet, the Run For the Wall holds special meaning for helping me deal with some of the feelings that I have been trying to bury for the last 40 years.
I am embarrassed that a humorist that I formerly enjoyed listening to and reading has showed his true stripes.
