Check out the SESG forum here.  Someone has a new '17 and has posted quite a bit about it.

Steve Cole did some 3rd party testing.

IIRC,  114 HP & 120 TG. (107" to a 114" kit) not a CVO.

What I really want to see is the new 117" motor upgrade on the M8!

Anyone yet?

Was asking Service manager about the 117 on the 114 CVO.  He advised to hold off a few months.  Wait for a head pipe with no cat.  Then do it and use a TTS tuner so it can be flashed back to stock.

Sorry to hear bout your 2015 CVO Roadie.  :'(

Congrats on your 217 CVO Street Glide, (it ain't no Road glide, lol).  :D

Can't wait to see the difference between the VTwin 117" vs M8 117".

Congrats again Dave!

You are correct, no road glide.  Sure wish there had been a 17 X model road glide.  The 15 was my third CVO road glide, had a 09, then a 12.  Hopefully in 19 they will have another CVO road glide.

The new motor is nice, lets hope its more reliable than the 110.  I'm not holding my breath.

Dave, noticed the other day Fuelmoto is making progress in their 107 head pipe, muffler and tune.  Not pushing their products but thought it interesting the results that are being shown.  Think they are showing about a 10 hp and 10 Tq increase with the decat tune.  Hopefully the 114 does as well.  Expect TTS and Fullsac will be out with something similar.  Looks like the 114's are trailing the 107 development a bit.  https://www.facebook.com/FuelMoto/?fref=ts

The FuelMoto stage 1 dyno on a 107 M8 was just a little bit down compared to a FuelMoto stage 1 103 HO with the same mods as the M8.
Charts are posted on HTT and fuelmoto home page.

Not impressed at all so far with the M8. :soapbox:
A cam change will probably allow the new M8 head to produce better power than a TC.

Steve at Fullsac will have my mufflers tomorrow to work on and told me he is working hard on the rest of the "solution"

Cool.  He was telling me had a set coming and should be two weeks or so for the baffles for the mufflers.  It will be a bit longer for the head pipe.

Dealer service manager says slip ons will not do much at all.  Very little should change and no effect on air fuel mixture with just slip ons.  Says the cat is really holding this motor back.

It feels like he is right when I am getting on it hard.

I spoke to Steve this afternoon and he is sending back mufflers tomorrow. I asked how he was doing with header pipe and he said he was "working hard".. I know the mufflers won't do much with that cat in there but I am hoping I can at least not go insane with the sound with the mufflers done at least.

Trust me there is heat, I have just over 600 miles on my 114 in the last three days.  That huge cat gets real hot.  The 114 does make very good power and I think it will be a big improvement if the cat was gone.  I really like the new motor so far.

Yes he has the 114, so do I.

We are both very aware a full exhaust is the only way you will get any gains.  Thing is no body has a full exhaust available for the bike yet.  I am waiting for one to become available.

I will be interested to see if the slip ons made it sound better. I have heard the 107 with the Harley Screamin Eagle slip ons and it wasn't different enough from my stock mufflers to justify the price. Please let us know what you think.

I think when you get new exhaust (cam is optional, I would do it at the same time) and dyno it heat will be gone (comparing to my cvo 110 or other twin cam ) ... did you look at D&D, V&H, fuel moto just a few co. that make good staff.

I have the 114 with the 117 stage 3 kit on it. I get that I need the full exhaust to get where I want to go and looking forward to doing just that!

I would wait it out a little while before jumping the gun on exhaust & cams.. We all know everybody will have a cam/pipe combo of the month for sale & have to filter the fly droppings from the pebbles.

I thought you can't exchange nothing from v twin with M8 (referring to 117 kit or I missed something ,do they make 117 for M8)

V&H has a x-pipe for the M-8 engine out already. Saw one last week and the owner picked it up at the Daytona bike week from their vendor tent.
