Motorcycle Laws: State by State
« on: April 13, 2011, 04:00:04 PM »

HD, apparently through the AMA has posted a state by state motorycle law page for both on and off road riding.  It contains a surprising number of topics.  With governments looking to pad their treasuries, it looks very helpful for those cross country or out-of- state trips:

Great link!     But, for Missouri, it states: "Lane Splitting  Not referenced in Administrative Code or Statutes"

I know from experience that does not stop the LEO's from giving you a Careless & Imprudent ticket!

Then I read NY       "§ 1252. Operating motorcycles on roadways laned for traffic (b) The operator of a motorcycle shall not overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. (c) No person shall operate a motorcycle between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles".

And I have seen people do it all over Manhattan and on the expressways and it seems they don't care?
