Title: Ape hangers and drink holders
Post by: bigchuck on January 17, 2019, 05:53:29 AM
I currently have a Kruzer Kaddy perch/switch mounted cup holder on my '15 limited with stock handlebars. However I am about to change them to 12 inch apes. I was wondering what you guys are using for cupholders because I don't think my current set up will look very good with the new bars.  I have seen the cupholders that mount down by the engine or on the lowers and it seems that the drinks would get awful hot. I live in Texas and I drink holder is a must. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Those don't look bad. I think being black helps. Mine are chrome.  I will have to wait and see how mine looks. I think putting it on the. Vertical part may be better than on perch. I may go with the  leather one that goes on the saddlebag guard if need be. Thanks for the reply guys.

naitram, I noticed the wire coming out of the backrest slit in your seat.  I'm curious what that is for?

Not sure what is funny about this thread.  If you do any distance riding a drink holder is a must if you don't want to be dehydrated.  You need that drink when its 98 degrees and you running 220 miles between stops for a thousand miles or more in a Day.

I did two trips last year, both over 5000 a trip.  Both the first day was a little over 1000 miles.
