Airwing Led Upgrade
« on: June 02, 2018, 08:08:29 AM »

I have the Harley Airwing on my tour pac and the the stock led lights are not bright, barely visible in day time. Brake light a little better. I have contacted several makers of aftermarket LEDs for Harley but Nobody makes them. I guess is take mie apart and design a DIY board with Super Bright LEDs. Has anyone done this for their bike? I have Custom Dynamics Led front/rear blinkers, running/brake light leds and Saddlebag Run/Stop/Turn LEDs.
The stock LEDs on Airwing are so out of place and useless in comparison I just want to remove/replace them. Any of you made good DIY LED boards? Hints? Suggestions? Thanks.

You might want to contact Tech/ Customer support for Custom Dynamics and see if they can make a light bar for you. Back when many members of this site owned a 2006 or 2007 CVO Ultra with the leather Tourpak we contacted them to make custom length light bars to install between the antennas of the pak. They could sell us clear with red lights or red lens ones in custom lengths and also the wiring harness was custom length to help with install.

Ok Thanks, I will try that. I did order some super bright led for through hole soldering on DIY type boards and some SMD type for homemade etched prototype board. Being a retired Robotics Technician I thought I might see if I can make something myself that would be satisfactory.
