Alright you little BSR's out there.  Share some info...

I lost my BSR back in 2001 when she flew the coop for her own low-rider.   (I can't say as I blame her, I was on a soft-tail at that point and it was none to comfy. Now she putters along on her own ride, leaving me to follow closely with the jitters, or ride in front with and eye and a half in the mirror all the time for fear she might get whacked by some yahoo in a cage and ...  well, I worry.  she really likes it...  HOWEVER!!!

I am now on an 05 SEEG, (feathering the nest),  with a custom, fitted to her butt seat , (comfort increase), hogwired speakers and a GPS, (entertainment system), I took the Exp riders course, (increased safety), massive time and effort invested in learning how to shift aboslutely smoothly, (No surprises)...     I still can't get her to come back to me except for really rigorous or high eperience needed type rides....   

What am I doing wrong?!?!

Nothing. Some chicks just need to soar on their own.

Doing absolutely nothing wrong.  Just once we are the masters of our own domain - we don't want to be a BSR.  I can't imagine just succumbing to sitting there instead of experiencing the thrill of rolling on the throttle, listening to my XM radio blaring favorite songs, seeing the line of travel and rolling through that.  Don't try to be selfish and keep to yourself.  And, start giving her more credit that she is competant enough to do all this, and quit worrying.  She knows that you do, you probably tell her when something was too close, too fast, too slow, too something and so she knows you don't think she is great at this too.  Get her to take the Experienced rider class and believe in her.  She will rise to the occasion.  I know I did................................ well almost have done so after eight years.  haa haa haa!

Breeze, I think the concensus will be that you are hosed.  The only friends I can ever remember who had a BSR who rode and then regularly returned to the back seat were cases in which the woman just didn't enjoy riding her own.  If she does, however, they never seem to back to the back seat except for the occasional little jaunt to stroke your ego or make you shut up about it for a day or two.  The trick seems to be never putting them up front to begin with if you like it having them BSR.

My Ex-BSR left her position 5 years ago and has never returned and has stated she will never return. I can't blame her.  She loves her Cobalt FLHRSE3.

No personal testimony here but a good friend at work told me of her test ride on one and she couldn't stop giggling and blushing during the telling. I concluded that the thing works.

Well if I was broken down in the middle of bum f*&k egypt and my only choice was to ride bitch, I would walk or ride into town on a stray Moose. So if the ladies want to ride themselves then God bless because they must want to be in control too. I have no issue if my wife decided to give riding on her own a try, I actually encourage her. We could ride together side by side and have a blast. Sorry i went off topic but on this site it really doesn't matter does it. We all are family anyhow.  Later,Q

Wouldn't that be a camel? Anyway I know what you mean I think the last time I was on the back seat I was knee high to a frog. Just wouldn't know what to do w/myself if I wasn't the one holding on to the handlebars, and twisting the throttle. Something just came to mind as I was typing this and I think I'll have to make one exception to my last statement. I could/would ride backseat if Michelle Smith was the driver.
