Every post is different, and different can be as current as the current First Seargeant's interpretation of saftey gear. I guess right now in Montgomery, AL, it is long sleeves. We have been to posts that want refelctive vests, reflective orange vests, reflective strip (useless when riding), a motorcycle saftey course certificate, on and on. After 911 and the hit on the Pentagon, we lived in quarters on Fort Myer, which is between Arlington National Cemetary and the Pentagon, and there was a rule to throughly search all bags on bikes..... a motorcycle for one weekend qualified as a bike. On Monday, my husband was able to educate the appropriate people to understand that to get base stickers for our motor cycles that we were riding from and to our residence, we had to prove all safety qualifications for us and the cycles. We did not get searched so much after that.
So in Montgomery, AL as we e-speak, they are having a tornado fly throug, golf ball size hail and three motorcycles are all vying for the protective cover of an entrance into barracks. Ought to be interesting how they pull it off. I will ask MrWeCVO, once his bike is safe to take pictues, before I get the dreaded "ttiwwp"smiley-------
