DooD What's your take on the new Zumo 660 just released?
« on: April 28, 2009, 05:01:01 PM »

When it comes to gps knowledge you have to go deep into the bowels of Garmin ( a place I'd rather not go) to find someone as knowledgeable as DooD.  What say you regarding the worthiness of this new electronic toy/gadget.   Is it worthy?  660 or 550

Anyone have one already that would like to comment.

When they were first introduced I had my reservations..... they were removing some features ie: XM that I thought was a plus, changing some things I didn't like ie: different size SD card, but they were changing/adding some things that might be nice ie: larger screen, and lane assist.... still holding back until some people get them, use them, and give real world reviews. I will say if I were in the market for a new GPS I would have to wait on purchasing until that information became available. I think there might be some value in upgrading, but for me my 550 is working and doing everything I could ask of it.

Sorry for not giving a definite answer, but I've learned to be hesitant when new products are introduced.... let others be the guinea pigs and work the bugs out. ;D

I haven't been on the Zumo forum for a couple weeks so I haven't heard anything. Sorry.
