Jock, a grad school buddy of mine is a recently promoted O6 that has spent almost all of the last four years in Kuwait or places north.  They deserve the trip home.  The boys have earned it.

Today, I had the opportunity to honor yet again another fine group of soldiers while at the shop.  Two of them had just taken delivery of their bikes and the group was planning a ride for the day.

I met them at Hooters and ordered the Twolane's special.  If you have to ask what it is, I would suggest he may be in a better position to respond to that question.

Nonetheless, my conversation with these folks was amazing.  I could speak to it endlessly, however I will sum it up with THANK GOD for these troops.  Several of the members will be returning after only 3 months at home for another year.  Others will have a year home and another 1 - 1-1/2 years there.

It is at times like these that I am proud to be an American with these fine men and women...
