..... So the Kuryakyn or EZ Brake arms were common and good looking choices.
I went with the KuryAkyn 1027 pedal, it matches the stock pedal very closely and clears the pipes without problem.

Is that Rinehart or V&H ?? I know the [highlight]V&H have the notch [/highlight]but the engineer from Rinehart never informed me about that. Strange  :-/ :-/
You're correct on the V&H having the notch, but as you can see in the picture, even if the shield wasn't notched, there would be plenty of clearance between the brake lever and the pipe.  Interesting that Rinehart "cut it so close".

That is a Rinehart true dual (see my sig.).  I was trying to show the notch in the shield with that photo, so I will get a shot from another angle later today showing the space between the pipe and the lever.  There is no issue with clearance whatsoever.

Just saw this post in a thread in the SERK section:

Need new for 07 reinhart true duals (1800-0434). Bent different from 1800-0242 due to bigger case for the 6 speed. Getting them put on this week.

Apparently, they have made some changes since the version I have, but not sure why the area near the brake pedal would have been affected. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Is the fitment issue only on the Road Kings?  I have installed the 07 Rineharts on an 07 SEUC and have no clearance issue at the brake pedal...

Scott, I thought of your bike right after I made that last post.  Is your heat shield notched at the pedal?

This really makes no sense. You think Rinehart staff would have told me about the notched heat shield and offered it to me to correct the problem.  [smiley=zwtf.gif]

It would be interesting to call them back and ask if the heat shield for a 1800-0242 would fit.

Wait until Tuesday. They will be hearing from me. Better yet, maybe I will send an e-mail today.  8-)

The heat shield is not notched for brake pedal clearance, but no notch is required...  I have a good quarter inch clearance between the brake pedal and heat shield.  I attached a couple of pictures to try and show the clearance.

A couple shots of mine from a different angle . . .

I have about 5/16" clearance between the pipe and the brake lever.

You can see in this one (as enhanced [smiley=confused5.gif] ;) with the red line I drew) that the lever has a curve in it in the area of the pipe that actually helps provide some clearance as well, by moving the pedal outward a bit.

Very odd that they would do away with the notch. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Yea, that is. [smiley=confused5.gif] I'll have to go take a look at mines see what they have. Mines have been on since Oct. 04.
