I got your PM.....thanks! :2vrolijk_21:

Well, you've set the bar pretty high for the Tequilla Sunrise owners and added to the list of options for SESG owners to consider from. :2vrolijk_21:

What model of Corbin seat is that?  I was there at Corbin again yesterday for TJStreetglide....gettin his p-pad modified.  They're calling me by first name now, as I roll in. :nervous:

JCZ it is a gunfighter with heat.  If you talk to corbin about it they will probably remember it because we had some trouble getting it.  I decided to leave the license plate light so my personlized plate shows up at night on dinner rides.  Worshipduder it is a 6 1/2" dark klock werks flare.

Hate to mention but is that pipe burned? Did it happen before the dyno or after? I had a pair of RUSH that did that further up and I think it was prior to the dyno. The bike was purchased used so I don't know.

those chubbys the 575s? and no probs with the fairing mirrors right? that doesnt look like corbins usual 2 up seat from a shape standpoint. i was shying away from corbin because of that but maybe I will reassess

49445CVO yes sadly enough you picked up on the one major blemish I have, dreaded burned chrome.  I just had it tuned last Friday and haven't decided yet what I am going to do about it.

Take a look at this thread - BlueJob for Chrome. Not my thread or pipe, but you may want to try it to see if results will be similar.

Worshipduder they are wild 1's chubby 575 and no there is no fairing issues.  The bars can be turned full lock left and right.  The seat is a corbin gunfighter and it is 2up but I warn you that the back doesn't have much padding.  I love corbin seats but they lower you down an 1" or 2" and also slide you back a little bit.

h-d mikey they are wild 1's chubby 575.  I would say you can see out of approximately 75-80% of the mirror.  Here is a picture of what it looks like for the rider.

Yes the stock cables did work.  The clutch cable now has what looks like a piece of electrical shrink wrap around it for about the first two inches out of the fairing.  Don't really like what it looks like, but for now I am going to leave it.

jerome,  I really like your front fender.  I had thoughts about doing something similar, but got pushed back in my list of mod priorities.  I may still do something similar one day, but I'll not be changing the wheels.  I was wondering who did your fender paint.

Great looking bike, congratulations on your hard work you've got a real custom there. :2vrolijk_21:

Sapper I had a local guy paint the fender and inner fairing for me.  The guy does alot of custom hot rods and has a really good reputation for being good at what he does.  The bad thing was that it took him three tries before he finally got the paint to match, meaning that i got charged three times to paint the fender and inner fairing.  OUCH is the only way I can put it!

Fired00d I talked to the shop today about the burned pipe and the agreed to change out the mufflers for nothing.  They have had this happen to other people with the same exhaust so they are going to use my burned pipes as the dyno pipes so nobody esle has to go through the same hassle.  Blue job definately looks like it works though.

Bike looks outstanding!
Did you do an 18 X 5.5 rear with a 200mm tire? Have you noticed any handling issues with the 21" front?

Looks great!!

TIF2 yes i did do a 18x5.5 rear.  The 21" front does handle a little bit different but if you practice with it you don't notice anything.  I did put a front end lowering kit on though.  I would still put a 21" front on if i was doing it all over.

Mr D I don't recall what exactly it was for sure but I want to say it was 2".  The local shop told me that they had done it before and it helped the handling so I told them to do whatever they thought.

Finally took the plunge and installed the RC Components Savage wheels 21 Front and 17 x 6.25 rear to accommodate the 200 mm rear tire.
Also went with the new Metzeler 140/70 - 21 tire its 1" wider than the stock 130 for improved ride and handling.

The tire however is 2" taller than the 120 thus either you use custom brackets ( I have a shop fabbing mine this week) or you use a fender for a 23".

Whose fender did you use and where did you have it painted? I have been looking at Bad Dad's stretched classic fender and a 23" wrap as you have. Mainly concerned with matching the paint?

Wheelsnkeels the fender and brackets I used were all klockwerks. I had a local body shop here in grand island ne that does a lot of custom hot rods paint it for me. It turned out pretty good. I can't say that it was an exact match, but I will say that it was so close that everybody that ever seen it said it looked fantastic. I also had the inner fairing  painted. The pics might show how close of a match it was. It wasn't cheap but it looks like u r in it deep enough to know how costly it is to do these mods.

I am in pretty far I guess? Great bike you have I know I love mine!
Enjoy the ride  :2vrolijk_21:

Got my first paint chip last week "OUCH" Sending the parts to site member "Volski" next week. He got very high praise in a PM from another member.

I'm hoping for excellent results as well!

My custom fender brackets are being machined I went with the larger140/70 21 tire it adds 1.8" in height. So none of the vendors brackets work especially on CVO SESG or SERG fenders. Staying with the factory fender at least for now.

I could order the Progressive monotube lowering springs for 1 or 2 inches. However at this time I think the fender will be too high for that?
Looks like there will be only about 2" to the triple trees.

The bigger tire handles better then the stock size and ride was the motivation in choosing it.
Stay well ride safe
