Robert, that's a fantastic paint job.  Had to pay for mine too...  No artistic talent :'(

Like Naitram said, it does a great job protecting from the wind, and it goes on and comes off relatively fast.  If you decide to go with a fairing, definitely look forward to seeing it.

I just learned that all our working group meetings are to be in Mass. right near where that picture was taken, starting next month.  Time to dig out the down jacket :o
