Tire pressure monitor
« on: December 03, 2020, 08:46:50 PM »

I have a 2017 cvo street glide that is having a problem reading the rear TPM. The rear sensor reads "--" with the warning light on. My local dealer has replaced the TPM 3-times. They thought the sensors were bad. Today they replaced the BCM and it still will not read. Now they are saying it is because the bike has been tuned with a TTS tuner and there is nothing they can do. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the problem?

interesting, dealer says it is a TTS problem; think about it, only the rear tire, not the front? On a separate note I have been trying to retrofit TPMS on my 2015 with little success. I have the GTS radio, and the tire pressure sensors installed but little luck. Dealer (told) me that they have tried to install two different BCMs but they won't activate. My next step is to reflash ECM to stock (currently TTS Mastertune flash). Once back to stock, install new BCM and reinstall TTS flash to ECM. I hope you figure it out, let us know.

If they installed 2 new BCM's, why would you install another new BCM?

The BCM cannot be installed with a TTS Reflashed ECM. Returning the ECM to stock (factory flash) allows the install of a new Body Control Module. I am pretty sure the dealer will use one of the BCM’s previously installed.

Well I put the original map back in the ECM and took the bike back to Harley service. They tried to a new TPM and a new BCM and it still won't connect.
I am at a loss, anyone have any ideas?

Well that truly sucks, I have been trying to gain functioning TPMS and after the numerous times I’ve tried I was told flash to stock and I would be good to go for BCM install.
Trigger-Man was able to do it (he posted pictures) and reports it works great. Not sure what I will do next.
If you figure it out please let me know.

I may try taking it to a larger dealer. I will keep you posted.

FWIW, my 2015 SERG has had the ECM tuned with a Dynojet Power Vision Tuner & Wide-Band Target Tune for a number of years. This package was in place when my dealer installed the new BCM and successfully activated the TP Sensors. I've no idea why the TTS system which only modifies ECM settings would adversely affect anything to do with the BCM. And why would the front TP sensor work properly (I assume), but not the rear??

Just an update...I think I found out why my rear tire pressure monitor wasn’t working. My local Harley dealer installed the Japanese part that operates on a different frequency. They have a domestic TPM on order. Hopefully that fixes it!

Forget HD crap. I added this to my bike, mounted discretely on bars near neck, can't see screen unless you want to. I have had it 6 moths and always works, pressure readings are spot on and I have not had to charge the screen module yet.
