Congratulations on the new Whiskey Neat CVO Roaf glide. Must say you picked the best color. I'm sure you are going to love it. I agree the factory windshield had to go, I got the 12" also but am wondering if the 1o would work.

Congrats on the new bike Stuart-looks great! :2vrolijk_21:

Congrats on the new ride Stu!!

Congrats Stu. Hope you enjoy it problem free for as long as you want to. As wedded as I am to my old bikes the latest iteration of the Road Glide (and the Road King looking Electra Glide) are looks I like. Also intrigued by the new VVT engine and hoping it does better than at least some of the automakers attempts at the same tech. Good luck and have fun.
-
Way to go Stu! That's definitely a good looking bike! Next, you need to make plans to bring it to Maggie Valley for the 20th GTG. It's about time we met face to face and rode together!

Sounds good Joe. I've been to Maggie valley 3times. But it has been a while. Thanks all for all the nice wishes. 👍👍👍Stuart

Congratulations on the new ride. Great color! Just got back from Post Falls, ID and while there rode with TreemanKerry for 3 days who has the silver. There is no comparison, color wise. He got 50 mpg while I was getting 37 on my Grand America. The VVT engine is no slouch, either. I would not want to be the guy who has to clean those wheels, however.

Unless I'm riding really hard 49~50 mpg is what I get. 85 mph drops it to 48 mpg. The VVT M8 has a very good torque curve, it moves the bike well. I'm very happy with it.

Holy chit... Seriously 49 to 50 mpg? Dave, did you get any where near that on your built red pepper?? I don't get any where near that on my 131 ci which is the stock harley 131 ci kit. Only deviation was eliminating cat by going with fulsac mx head pipe.

Averaged 43 mpg on the Built Red Pepper, in a big group ride I could get 45 mpg. Pushing it hard it was 40 MPG. Seriously shocked at how good the MPG is on this bike.

So you got a new CVO RG? Which color? What are your thoughts?

Wow. Did you get your 2023 tuned and if yes what tuner do you have? Also what tuner did you use for the red pepper? Thank you.

No, the 23 has not been tuned.
Red Pepper used a Power Vision for tuning

One of the first things I do is to have an extended brake lever installed. I got this from Softbrake. Can't beat it and so much more comfortable. Stuart
I also picked up some highway pegs and clamps today also. I'm almost done 😎😎

Looks good. I love having hwy pegs. These are actually my passenger pegs, I never have a passenger.

They didn't come with the bike? I thought they started putting them on the non Ultra CVOs a few years back.
-
Cvo limited yes. Road glide and street glide no😞

That's funny my friend. A few years back they started removing stuff from the CVO bikes. I do remember back in 09 they came with a passenger back rest and I think hwy pegs. But 2017 and newer no hey pegs, no back rest. Then vents that closed went away. Then the 5 years of maps went a way, then XM went away. Now they don't even come with a nice cover for the owners manual like my 19 did.
That said, this is still a very nice bike. Handles very well, Great Brakes, front suspension is really nice, rear is an improvement. Motor has a broad and flat torque curve which is very nice. IFCU (Infotainment Control Unit) is great except a few minor bugs.

These new CVO StreetGlide bikes look very nice. I haven't seen the RoadGlide besides the pictures.
Local dealer has called a few times thinking I need to come look at a new bike.
After hearing about the things the new bikes don't come with, I might have to ask if I would need to bring my own air for the tires.
How does the clutch lever resistance feel on the new RoadGlide?
-
Beautiful!
-
Stuart - what are your thoughts or recommendation on your dealer there in West Palm?
Is that Treasure Cost HD?
-
Harley davidson of west palm beach. I was there today and they had one of each on the floor. Cvo road glide and street glide in whiskey neat. I think they are better than most as a dealer. They were very aggressive to try and sell me the bike as fairly as they could. It was a pretty good experience.

It's a bit different than the Hydraulic clutch. Friction zone is out near the end of the travel. Been a long while since I road a stock hydraulic clutch so I can really compare pull effort.
