Differences Between 07' and 08' SERK's
« on: April 11, 2011, 09:16:42 PM »

Did the MoCo come out with any major design features for the 2008 SERK or were they the same as the 2007's? Other than different paint and graphics. Thanks Guys!

I have an '08 SERK and someone in my H.O.G. chapter has an '07.  The only thing I can think of design wise other than the obvious paint, and leather patterns is the front fenders.  There may be more but I can't think of anything else.

The tank panel and If I remember right the idiot lights were differant. Paint.and I believe 08 was the first year for the radial tires.
Also wasn't 08 the first year of ABS brakes?

Other differences I can think of off the top of my head

08 - Electronic Throttle Control / Fly By Wire, 6 gallon tank, ABS, IDS
07 - Flush mounted fuel gauge / fuel cap, round AC cover

I think the mirrors and handlebars were different between the two.

Cosmetic differences really don't matter much. Good info to know about TBW, 6 gallon tank, ABS. Think about getting one toward the end of Aug. or so. Just trying to decide if one year had an advantage over the other. Thanks guys.
