I'm wondering the same. Hoping to do Arnott's in the rear but not sure what to put up front.

I know this is an old post. My old 99 RKC was lowered when I bought it, I HATED IT. Always hitting things, one time knocked the oil cooler line off on a speed hump. I can't tell you how many times the jiffy stand spring was knocked off, had to start carrying a spare in saddlebag. It looked cool lower but was a PITA when riding.JMO

I have never owned a RK but haver lowered all Ultras either standard or CVO models that I have owned over the years and am quite happy with the results.

Naturally I lowered BOTH front & rear to ensure a level bike, and only used H-D parts.

I'm sure you would have the same great results on your Road King.

Lowered my 05 ultra ,complete ruined the comfort. I think that SERK comes with the rear already lowered.
