Where do you put it? I can't hang it on a belt since it isn't accessible when I am riding - so I end up just stuffing it up under my jacket.
Got two bikes so I can't go the fixed route (well not going to).
Looking for suggestions - was considering a loop of nylon around my neck to hang it on?

A friend of mine has a RK and he has a tank pouch held on by the one screw on the tank . That's where he puts his controller.

Mine looks like that except for it's a single controller.
Naitram I assume the one in the picture has a clip on the back.

It does have a clip on the back. I just set mine ahead of time, depending on the temps. and then just put it in my jacket pocket and forget about it.

Guess I should have mentioned that - I have the pouch also. Has a clip, that is what I am having the issue with finding a good place for.

The jacket I pull over the jacket liner has hand pockets on the front. I clip the controller over the lip of the left pocket. The knobs stick up for access that is as easy as it's going to be wearing gloves and I can adjust it at will going down the road as temps change.

Me too, I've tried other spots but the left leg just seems to work best for me.

I clip mine to the pocket of my winter riding pants (cloth FXRG overpants - much warmer than chaps!) . But I have friends who ride with me in the winter and they sometimes clip it to a jacket pocket. You want it to be accessible so that you can change the temp hotter or cooler as conditions change throughout the ride.

tonight riding home had an idea I am going to try when I get a chance...
Neo magnet mounted in cloth or plastic for the KLR (not really worried about the paint) with a mount for the clip. Figure the magnet allows me to move it should I want to, clip the pouch to that and it's accessible while I am riding the Kawa.
Going to look at a center pouch for the SERK, something along those lines.
I gotta make this more complicated, too easy to just shove it in my pocket, and none of my riding gear is playing nice.

i keep my controller in the slot in the seat for a rider backrest since i dont use one.
i can reach behind me and adjust very easily

Velcro to upper leg just above my knee. Easy to get to all the time.

I've tried several location but one day I found the best place by shear luck. My leather jacket has a snap at the bottom of the zipper. When the zipper is up I just snap the wire to the jacket. It's in the best possible location, any extra wires can be stuffed under the jacker and it easy to connect when I get on the bike.

I brought my Jacket to a leather store and had them cut a slot in the side of the jacket and reinforce the cut to slide the clip in. I always had trouble keeping the controller in the side pocket. Billy

I have a belt pouch and clip it on to my chaps where it is easily accessible.

Why not just add a snap too the leg of your chaps or any riding gear and put the other part of the snap on your clip of the holder? I would think any repair shop could do this. I know my dealer has the tool to replace snaps with, just drill the right size of hole on the clip and place the hole in your riding pants. Have them crimp the snaps you should be good to go

I use the left leg of my chaps. Easy access while riding and is right there when I unplug. :cucumber: :coolblue:

I recently purchased a Gerbing jacket liner and gloves. Love em. But at first found controlling them with the dual controller you guys are talking about a little clumsy at best. Even with the $11 belt clip. I initially put it on my belt on my left side and had to leave the bottom of my jacket tucked up over the top so I could access the controls. So I started thinking about an alternative way to utilize this controller WITHOUT hard mounting anything to the bike. What I came up with in my head was a strip of elastic (black of coarse) and some velcro to sew on, for a quick release setup. And wear it on my left leg for easy access. Great idea right?
So when I was at Wally World last week I decided to look into this. I went to the sporting goods dept. and found one of those 70's black terry cloth head bands to cut and attatch the velcro to. So... off to the fabric dept. I go to find some velcro. What I found on the wall there in the velcro section was a two pack of 28" x 1" black elastic pre-made strips of velcro, with a plastic hoop at one end to loop the other end through, so it's adjustable to any size! And guess what? The price was under $6.00 for both!
I used this setup the other day and it worked flawlessly. The whole thing just pops into your saddle bag when you stop.
When I saw this thread I had to share this info. Unfortunately, I've already tossed the packaging, and don't remember the name on it. Maybe if one of you goes in and picks this up you could post a picture.
Hope this info helps with what seems to be an all too common issue.

Talking about Velcro, I came across this stuff. It's velcro on both sides of the strip, with hooks on one side and loops on the other, so it will stick to itself. You can make loops of any size just by cutting a piece off the roll. I use it to make "re-openable" tie-wraps, cable wraps, wire guides and harnesses.

I have the Captain Itch holder works great, best alternative I have found, , knobs are easy to reach and control.

I use the wireless Powerlet dual controller. Put it where you want to, dash, pocket, velcro'd to leg, arm, seat, whatever. Works slick! JC said Gerbing is a few months away from introducing their own wireless controllers. I have Gerbing gear and the Powerlet works fine.

I use the "Single Mounted Heat Troller", I have it mounted in the extra switch plug on the left side of the ignition switch. The plug that I plug my jacket into comes out between the tank and seat. It works real well, there is an LED that flash's, faster for more heat, slower for less heat. I just need to find a nicer knob for it, I would like to find a smalller black knob.

Jeff Gerbing told me it was due for release about Sept. of this year. Think I'll follow up with an email to him.
