Do you think the M8 will be in the Softails for MY 18?

If the MoCo follows tradition, yep.  You should see the M8 in the Softail and/or the Dyna models.  However, with all of the unsold '16s and large inventory of '17s still on the showroom, they may skip '18 and plan for '19 in an attempt to get all of the new, unsold twin cams out of the showroom....

....really, only the shadow knows.... :rolleyes4:
