Title: Question For The Ole School Chopper/Bobber Guys!
Post by: Hoist! on April 19, 2008, 06:43:19 PM
I can't for the life of me remember where I saw this. CRS again! I'm planning on running a solo Metalflake seat on my future HoistBobber. I saw a really nice set of Coil Over mini Shocks made for under the solo seat. That would be my rear suspension on the Rigid. My ass suspension anyway! They're supposed to be really good. But I can't seem to find it now. Puzzled, Miker, and any others, ya'll know where to find what I'm looking for? :confused5:

Thanks gang! :2vrolijk_21:

Hoist, I've been riding since the early 70's and I don't remember anything like this.  Sounds like something that somebody came up with more recent. :nixweiss:  You got my curiosity going, thow.  Maybe somebody here will know.

Definitely a recent product JC. But most wouldn't give the product a second look. I figure the ole school guys would pick up on something like that. I need them for 2 rigid builds. Thanks! :2vrolijk_21:

I'm sure you are also aware of the Paul Cox Rigidaire Pneumatic Motorcycle Seating System (http://www.paulcoxleather.com/rigidaire.shtml).

Damn, that's an expensive under-butt-air-bladder.  The shocks have a cooler look to them too Howie.  Mewannarideit when you're done.

Yeah Don, I really like those dual seat shocks. But that baloon is a slick idea. I don't think it's for me though! ;)

And it looks like you'll be coming back to NYC then for that. No way I'm riding that thing to MO! 20 years ago yeah, but these days, no way! :nixweiss: ;D

You don't need em on the DWG Rog, you got shocks. These are for rigid frame bikes. But you know my suggestion for your DWG, same as I did on my FXWG, bitubos! ;)

What did need ever have to do with anything Howie, especially here.

I loved the LOOK of my solo police seat on my 76 FLH.  I think the look of the shocks on the seat is a great one whether they are needed or not :bananarock:

They do make bolt on brackets to use instead of weld on tabs for these. Check with one of those Cos, and see if it works w/the Dyna frame. ;)

You may be able to use some of the spring setup off the new FLSTSB Cross Bones bike.
