FXDWG2 / FXDWG3 Battery cover
« on: November 12, 2020, 06:27:16 PM »

I'm a new proud owner of a FXDWG2 and am trying to figure out how to remove the battery cover.  The bottom of the cover is loose but the top is somehow attached to the frame by a rubber mount.  Can someone give me some guidance on how to remove the cover?  If I pull on the cover it moves outward but I don't want to break something in the process.  Is the bottom part of the cover supposed to be just loose?  It seems like there should be something else affixing the the cover to the battery tray.  There's nothing in the manual detailing how to disassemble it - any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Should be a bolt on the aft side of the cover.

Got it, thank you.  This cover is a little different from my '98 and I forgot you have to drop the battery tray to pull the cover out.  Thanks for the reminder!
