So you need a completely new designed seat?  I seem to remember someone speaking of a custom seat outfit in your general area.....maybe someone remembers where the post was?  :-\  spyder

Not new designed, just refoamed and recovered, but retain the exact stock look. I was looking for a new custom designed seat to be made for the Pro Street. ;)

Thanks for the info Jeff. Sargeant was recommended by Mustang and is a huge Mustang dealer. The guy at Mustang spoke very highly of their work. The guy Bill I spoke to at Sargeant was very knowledgable on every aspect of seat rebuilding, and I felt good after going thru everything with him for over 1/2 hour by phone. So for the $250 delivered, I thought I'd give em a shot. So the seat's on it's way to Jacksonville to Sargeant. Hopefully I'll feel as good about it after I get it back!!! ;)

I would think Mustang would be very hesitant to give a recommendation unless they knew it was all good. As I said earlier, sounds like a good option. Can't wait to see the results!

Damn! Timing's everything, both good and bad! It's a GORGEOUS day here today! 42 and not a cloud in the sky. All the snow's about gone! And Snowmaker's sitting in a closed shop today!!! :(

Now, she must be fast as well as the speedo shows 60MPH sitting on the stand @3500RPM!  :nixweiss: Get some read flames on the new seat to bring out the red or maybe yellow flames to match the coil and plug wires ?

Nah, decided to rebuild the seat same as the stock one that came with the '85 FXWG. I always loved the seat, and a new stock one with Superfoam or whatever you call it, will be just fine by me on this bike. ;)

Looks like I'll have to get over there today. Vern called and rode the bike yesterday for the first time. He said it rode unbelievably smooth and will have all the power I'll need. He can't believe how great the bike rides! He's not too familiar with Traxxion, and has only ridden my SERK with it installed. I can't wait to check it out on my street bike for myself! ;)

But the weather only appears to be getting worse here. So I'll have to get over there today to get a lil saddle time in on her. Hope I can free some time this afternoon! Might be the only chance I get for awhile! :2vrolijk_21:
