Blame the Dollar  :confused5: when it goes up closer to par with the American the prices at the Stealerships go down and our prices go back up with the weaker dollar.  That is why the US parts book has prices in it and the Canadian price book doesn't. :soapbox: It is also why I usually go to a Stealership in Buffalo NY  :nixweiss:

I also noticed the price increase for the sesg on Jan 17 on harleys canadian web site. I freaked because I have one ordered and is being built on Feb 5. I called Deeley canada on monday morninng and they said there was no price increase. They said it must be a computer error. They thanked me for bringing it to there attention and said it would be changed.

You guys could come down to Daytona and buy one of the three Candy Concord Street Glides at Destination Daytona for a low, low price of $39,999 US plus freight, setup and taxes OR a Tequila one at St. Augustine H-D for $32,999.

Bike week is in about 3-4 weeks  :orange: :mango: :bananarock: :apple: :carrot: :jalapeno: :cucumber:

I noticed this too and that is the reason I started this thread. Didn't realize it was a mistake, I too have a SESG ordered and scheduled for a March delivery. :2vrolijk_21:

That is quite the price difference between the two dealers, I wonder who will sell one first?  :deal2:

Awaiting delivery of my SESG and really bummed about the fact I'll be forking over $6000.00 more $36829 CDN compared to $30999 US given the fact our currencies are almost at par. Called Canadian distributor (Deeleys) and they said they have no plans to do another price adjustment on the 2010s here in Canada based on the value of our dollar, but may do so for the 2011s. So much for resale value...

I guess we get to pay the extra 6K for that Transport Canada required taillight assembly and they have us over a barrel as US dealers are not permitted to sell to Canadians. Unfortunate situation given I'm only an hour away from the border... Wish there was some way to pressure Deeleys as I'm sure someone (them) are simply pocketing the difference... Thank-you very much...

Fatass,

You may remember late 2003 when the CDN $ started to climb, people bought  the "Rare Anniversary" bikes at the lower $ CDN, then it started to climb. A lot of shoppers close border started buying in the US. Well the CDN HD Dealers and Deeley had a come to Jesus Meeting, the price dropped dramatically, the people who bought earlier were SOL. Even when the Dollars were Par or close we still paid more for CDN parts and Bikes as you must remember Deeley is a business and has to make money, so I guess the difference may be their Margins, which I do not begrudge them as they are Harley Davidson Canada.

As far as US dealers not able to sell to Canadians, this is not a Transport Canada mandated Taillight assembly issue, it is HD Corporate Policy that HD Dealers can not sell "new bikes" Cross Border.

The relationship with Deeley Motors and HD goes back decades, when Trev Deeley stuck it out with HD during the tough years, AMF period etc. So their is a lot of Loyalty on HDs part when it comes to Deeley Motors.

How much are you paying for freight and PDI? I paid $1000.00. The last new bike I bought was a 07 softail custom and freight and PDI was $430..00. Asked the dealer at time of delivery if they made a mistake. They said the freight and PDI was higher because it was a CVO. Ripped again.
