Inner Fairing hitting tank
« on: March 21, 2010, 10:40:14 PM »

Just picked up my Spiced Rum yesterday didn"t have much time to go over the bike at the dealers. Today I noticed a few things, the inner fairing touches the tank and has chipped the paint, the leather on the seat is wrinkled on the left side, and scuff marks on the paint in a couple of areas. When you pay as much as we pay for these bikes,  :soapbox: well you know.

I had this same issue....my dealer tightened up the fairing, and buffed out the blemish it left on the paint, I watch closely to see if the fairing will contact the tank if the bars are turned all the way to either side.  I would suggest you either make them replace your tank, or make darn sure that the clear coat has not been damaged!! :nixweiss:
