So some how I got lucky and scored a painted to match chopped tour pak on Ebay. Not sure what the deal is with it though. The bottom had never been drilled and mounted, no holes at all, but the top had an Air Wing rack on it. The inside of the lid looks like ABS, black in color, and has a 2009 label on it. I have an all black chopped TP (for sale) that also has a 2009 label on the inside of the lid, but it is silver in color. The seller sells a lot of Harley parts, full paint sets, etc. Was wondering if he purchased it damaged, and put a different top on the bottom? Did HD even have Black Diamond in 2009? Guess he could have painted the lid and put it on the bottom section, but it matches perfectly. Bottom line, I paid $760 delivered for a chopped Inferno Orange/Black Diamond Tour Pak with an Air Wing rack, I am pretty happy   Just kind of wondering what the deal is, emailed the seller, but haven't heard back.

The solid black looks good on the bike, have to look REAL close to tell there is no "diamond" in the black.

Was it dated late 2009?

My '09 SERG had ABS lower/fiberglass lid as delivered from HD

Yeah it is dated september or October 2009 (at work right now). Do the new TP's come with ABS top now? It's the 2009 date that is throughing me. I mean, the bike is a 2011, unless they had Black Diamond in 2009 that I don't know about, and they put the top on the O/B bottom.... Just kind of strange.

Anybody have a picture with a TP with a spoiler and Air Wing rack? I really like the spoiler look.

FYI.... the lids are still a composite... (fiberglass)

Just looked at my maple/black TP for my '12 and noted the inside of the lid is black, but still smells of resin from the glass.

My '09 lid was 'glass but it was a light grey color on the inside.

I have solid black chopped pak, no pin striping, no backrest pad, 2009 and later 2-up tour pak mount, and premium rack for sale locally for $750, but will take $700. It will probably end up being $750 shipped, it is in VERY good condition.

Ha good one, try this I just got back from a ride from S. Padre Island, so I have it off the bike, and all the pics from the ride are to large to upload if I can figure out how to reduce I will try later

FAST380....could you send some pictures of the tour pack you are selling to me? My e-mail is in my profile. I have the O/B 2011 like yours and always contemplated just buying a solid black tour pack instead of the color matched. You scored big time in getting the color matched at that price.
