Hi all
I had owned a 2008 CVO Ultra which took 3 years to get running right (over heating problems, pinking and handling)
had to take the bike to a Harley specialist (not dealer) in the end after more than 10 vistits they could not fix.
within 2 days the bike was running perfect.
1 power command unit fitted + disconnect oxygen sensors, set exhaust valve to open. engine stopped pinking and whilst it got hot it was running from 315 degrees to 220 on oil gauge. performace increased by 50%
Front end strip down to find ALL bolts/nuts loss and head not EVER greased by dealer EVER. It drove like a new bike should and went like stink.
So with my new 2011 CVO 110 Road Glide I have fitted a power command unit at the first service (1000 miles) . Disconnected CAT and test drove. No over heating, no pinking but felt that better was to be had. A new set of supertrapp 4" kerker stouts fitted last week (on order for 10 weeks)and the bike flies. Full throttle response, revs through to ride line with the full toque kicking in through the range. Its sounds the business and looks the muts nuts.
This bike is the best harley I have ridden.
Sould I use the word 'Japanese'on this forum but being my first post i think i can get away with it. Whether it be a Jap/Italian/German/USA tourer, Harley have caught up and passed the bench mark with the new CVO Road Glide.
safe riding
