That looks awesome without the trunk. My husband has the same bike and has talked about doing the same thing. He stops though when he thinks about the amp relocation and all the other complexities involved.

How complicated was the project. Do you still have all the functions for the stereo/radio etc?

I'm looking for the amp.    In the saddlebag?

That is really nice looking. What did you do with the amp?  Do you have a parts list?

I would love to do it too.  I hear it's real complicated to get everything to still work, plus you have to re-locate the AMP which does give you the opportuntity to upgrade your audio.

You can always take out the stock amp and put one in the fairing.  That's what I would do.  ;)

I don't know why I waited so long!  Super easy.  All functionality of stereo remains!  Amp is in the right saddlebag with just a small modification to the bag for the cable to fit in.  I used Harley's detachable kit and ordered a waterproof deutsch connector off the internet.  There are nine wires that run into the tour pak.  One plug (with 12 connectors) did the trick.  You also disconnect the rear speakers individually.  I used the fader on the stereo to put the power to the front speakers.  I also did a J & M AM FM WB hidden antenna.  I'm not much of a CB guy any more, so I coiled up the antenna wires and pulled them into the side covers.  This weekend I'm installing HD Daymakers and moving my license plate down below my new "Bright Ass tail light.  I'll post some pic's of the finished project.

Man, I wish I was mechanically inclined.  I would love to do that to my bike.
