My buddy went down coming back from DC rolling thunder. Bike is totaled and he is banged up pretty good. He says if he did not have his helmet on he would not be here. In Ohio we don't wear them but he had to in DC. I'm thinking about starting to wear them. Hmmmm!

Sorry to hear about your friend, I am from Ohio and now live in Alabama for the past 6 years and have had to wear a helmet.  Still don't like them but I know they are a savior at times.

Sorry to here about your friend, I had an accident back in 2004 while down in Florida with no helmet on.  I feel I had my one chance and where a helmet all the time now (and no more shorts and Tennis shoes)!

I am a firm beleiver of helmets. I've hit my head a few times.
