It just makes me think... don't go riding up to Howie's with it. Or if you do get your self one of those big crushed velvet hats.  :huepfenlol2:
Hmmm, That would be another item for the "Pimp Convention". :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Minor spewage (don't surprise me like that!).

The picture does make the leather look kind of crushed velvety for some reason.  Different in person.  But it's every bit as red.

After the tour pak backrest gets here will work on dressingit out a bit.  It's going to be a comfortable saddle though :coolblue: .

Y'know what man; that's ok.  When I ordered it I knew it was going to be loud.  Against my normal choices was doing that on purpose this time.  Really wanted it to stand out.  It may be one of those "acquired tastes" kind of things.  On the bike itself it's kinda cool.  I think it'll be a even nicer when I get a chance to dress the bright red leather and tone it down a notch.

As weird and bright as it is something pretty close to this is what I was after here.  I had to take a really big breath to order this way.  But I'm diggin' it already :drink: .

Don you are a lot braver than me.  Safe me would have ordered black.  I like the dark color of the sides of the seat, the top is bright.  You will definitely know your bike.

The more we see it, the more we will like it.

Sorry about Corbin, you think you have everything worked out and someone drops the ball.
You had it worked out in your mind, they didn't.

Too many posts before pictures.   :)      :2vrolijk_21:

That's what we keep hearing.

Hopefully we realize the comfort in short order.

Henry, we were "talking" the other night about whether the seat breaks in to us or we break in to it.  After today I think it might be the latter :huepfenlol2: .

I remember when the seat for the SEEG got here it seemed fine to me from day one.  This new seat for the SERG seems the same.  It might conform to be a little over time.  But it's comfortable right out of the box.  I must've got broken in a long time ago :nixweiss: .

Speaking of black,
Here's a new saddle that's not so new but still very nice.
Some guy with a taste for red bikes sent it to me.
Feels good but I sit further to the rear about 3 inches. (I think)

Another,

Not trying to steal a thread but I finally put it on and I think it looks good!

And don't pay attention to the sign on the rear wall.

Yeah....  Started chatting about it yesterday when the seat was in town but before it got to me.  I'll link them in the first post with a note saying to "read on McDuff."

When this beastie got ordered I knew it would be bright.  They had lots of red vinyl options.  But almost no red leather options.  And I wanted leather for the seat panel.

I also had decided to make it stand out some too.  Oh boy....

When ordering already expected to have dress the color a bit to make it more tame.  An old leathersmith close by here has said doing such isn't a big deal for him.  Though this needs even a bit more taming then I expected.

I also REALLY like the side panels.  If could have gotten a leather in something like either a third similar tone would have been the seat panel too; in a heartbeat.

I think right now it'll glow in the dark.  That'll be cool.  In person it really is actually pretty sharp.  Quite looking forward to seeing it all together after the tour pak backrest gets here and the leather gets treated some.

Getting the backrest and tourpack on will give it a different look and may tone it down a little.

That looks good on there Chip.  I like the shape of their solo saddles a lot.  Their solo moved you back three inches and their dual tour moved me forward close to two.  That's an unexpected amount of difference.

If I were back any farther from what the stock seat's position had been I couldn't have reached the pegs or the handlebars.  At least not remotely comfortably.  Will you be able to find a comfortable and safe riding position with that saddle?
