Title: SE II Mufflers
Post by: Schwabie on March 31, 2017, 07:29:20 AM
Hello,
I'd like to put SE II slip ons with slash cut ends on my FXR3. I'm finding a lot of them for sale for other bikes - Softtails, Sporties... Does anyone know which ones are easy to fit up so that I can have the connecting bracket tucked under the mufflers and somewhat hidden? I'd like the open cut ends to face straight sideways like this picture.
Thank You,
Gary

Back then, in the P&A book, the Mo Co offered a chrome rear bracket to blend & for some bling

That's a great looking FX  :2vrolijk_21:

I think that I could make the rear bracket if I had to and have it plated or powder coated. The info I really need is if there are mufflers from a certain model that will make everything fit up and look good. (Not have bracket mounts showing towards the outside of the mufflers)
Yes, it is a nice looking bike. That is a random picture that I found. Here's a pic of mine.

I talked to very friendly HD parts lady today and she gave the old FXR3 SE II slip on part #. She also said that it was the same # for much more common Dynas. And yes, I found a set of NOS on Ebay and got them coming!  :2vrolijk_21:
