Maybe painted to match but as it is, I doubt it.

If that is was wrapped in leather....I LIKE IT!!!

Maybe incorporate a universal GPS mount in the center.

Not sure what kind of sound those small speakers put out though...

I'm assuming that those are just extra front speakers.  I think they look great there.  Nice addition.

From the first post in that thread (1/7/09) it appears that it is just something Pez is thinking about at this time. That is probably why nothing is showing on HogTunes website.

Hey All--WOW didnt really expect this kind of response! I can tell you a close buddy of mine installed the HD fairing dash pad for his 02 Ultra--same as the dash pad that comes on CVO Ultras. Everytime I saw it, I thought there had to be a good audio application. At the shop, we mucked around with all kinds of configurations including 3 tweeters (one as a center channel) but felt adding a set of tweeters was the simplest and best.

The 1" tweeters in the pic are a custom designed metalized PCA dome with an 18 db per octave passive x-over built into the pod itself. Its plug and play, fits perfect, and matches the stock satin black inner fairings paint color. The unit comes completely apart in 3-4 minutes for painting to match painted inners.

Again--I did not expect this kind of response and do not want to violate any forum rules. I think the proper thing to do is to ask anyone interested to email me (not PM)

Im happy to go over this that way (hope thats cool eh)

Guys

yet again--Holy Crap! Did not expect this--but thanks eh

I am a firm believer in the good intent of the forums. I believe it would be in bad taste to simply advertise here for free--so I will do the following

James was nice enough (at my request) to post the reply most of you got that emailed me. To avoid any heat, James left out pricing.

I will say the complete pod will retail in USA for less than $199.95 and the forum member discount will be "aggressive" so please bear with me till its on my site.

The unit is made of ABS and the fool proof drilling template puts 2 x 5/16" holes per side into the fairing inner. One for the wire to pass, and one for the bolt to secure it.

I think the rest of good info will be made available when I know to the day when I will have the part in house

Hi there

The amp/speaker combo is plenty powerful to run the tweeters--like the stock radio can power the front speakers and the tweeters. I have had a white paper on my "tech zone" for almost a year on how all this works

The pod itself has a custom designed ring around the front that holds the tweeter in place. This ring is flared to "horn load" the tweeter and make it play louder. This ring effects the sound quality of the tweeter--so the tweeter had to be custom designed to make it all work together right. The same principle is given if you talk normal, and then "cup" your hands around your mouth. In order to make it all work--some majic was done to the tweeter and crossover.

This being said--another brand of tweeter will not work"well" without making it all work with lot of cutting and "MacGyvering". For this reason, our pod will not be available "naked". I hope this explains why

I would think we would see them at the dealer show next month if they are ready for the public. ;)

Kinda nice looking but I would question the sound unless it is a tweeter or something to run along with the rest of the system.  I am a firm believer in larger cones and magnets = better sound especially when you are running some amps to it.
