I have a Danny Gray Butt Crack on my '09 SERG.  I had it on my '08 FLHX (9300 miles this past summer) and transferred it to the RG when I got it on Oct 1.  I was only able to put 1700 miles on it before having to put it away for the winter, but I can tell there are some adjustments I'll have to make to ensure it's as comfortable as it was on the Street Glide.

Whatever ends up feeling good to you.  Asses are not a one-seat-fits-all thing.  Sit on different options when you get the chance.  I like Corbins.  Many do.  Others don't.  Asses are different.

Hahahaha^^^^
so many ways to misinterpet this!

But in all honesty twolane is right...

you need to find a seat that makes your ass comfy because your ass isnt changing to fit the seat.

You have had the seat for almost 5 months now... can you report on how many miles and what the seat feels like?  Any long trips with it lately?  Still comfortable?

Yes I would love to know feedback on the seat. Got one like new from a member on another forum en route to me. Hopefully I will have it before next weekend so I can test it out.

I would also like to know from either Dave or Steever, did the seat change your seating position at all from the stock solo seat?

I am going to have a new set of bars fabbed up soon but want to square away my seating first.

Thanks

Well I got the new seat, ten days before the bike.

Got the Bike Friday and put the new Corbin on.  I have 554 miles on the seat and bike so far.  I think I am going to like this better than the Danny Gray that was on the FLTRXSE3.

I have 7200 miles on the seat now.  Feels even better than when I first got the seat.  I have done a 600 mile day on it, much better than my big seat from Danny Gray that I had on the 09.

The seat is about the same height as stock, and about the same distance from the bars, however it is wider in the back and in the front, so when putting your feet on the ground they are spread a little wider.

The seat seems to be wearing well.

If that is a problem you can send it back to Corbin once for some mods. They can do a "nose job" which will narrow the nose so your legs don't need to spread out as far to touch the floor.

Not a problem at all, was just point that out for people who may be interested in the seat, but of shorter stature.  I still flat foot with no issue at all, I'm 6'1".  My wife 5'6" says it is to wide for her.

My Corbin came today, feels good, but moved me up (height wise) and forward, really want to retain the stock seating position......

Yes I did I feel like I'm on top of the gas tank now, there is considerably more buffeting from being higher up over the windshield, and when I stretch my legs out now I'm easily passed the crash bar, with the stock solo, the front of my foot barely touches the crash bar......

Like I said comfortable, but if it sat me like the stock seat, I would be good.

At this point I'm seriously considering buying a stock RGC seat and sending it to MCC and buying an HD rider backrest kit.

I guess I didn't notice the riding position change.  I rode the bike home 57 miles from the dealer and changed seats, and windshields.  Only think I noticed was it was wider at the nose and had more support in the back.

I have a Danny Gray Airhawk en route to try, so we'll see.

If not then I will look for another option......I don't think you can run a backrest with the stock SESG solo either, so that puts me back to a stock RGC seat and having it modified......

I was trying to avoid the expense involved in finding the seat for me but I guess that's inevitable, that's another reason why I bought these second hand to try out to not take a huge hit if I re-sell afterwards.
