stock?
« on: April 11, 2012, 04:32:27 PM »

How many folks are riding their CVO stock?  I've heard all kinds of complaints about the cat and heat and how the bike really opens up after a stage 1 upgrade.

I'm trying to decide if I ride it stock for a while or if I'll hate that and should just have a new header pipe, slipons, tuner, and dyno'd done before I pick it up.  Maybe I can have the dealer extend my 20% discount out a few weeks so I can have a chance to check it out.

Riding it stock (so far), it is one month old and so far I am loving it! Have an 11 FLTRCUSE with Fullsac header, baffles, and TTS Master Tune I am very happy with it, and eventually I will install same set up on my 12, but I must say I am content to wait for another month or two.

Mine's not a week old and still stock, but have a bunch of Vance & Hines boxes in the house. I think I will be installing after the first service check, plus weather has been cold so no heat problem yet.
Good Luck

:nixweiss:   I'm sorry but what is this strange word, "stock?"   :nixweiss:

Seriously, there are plenty of people who ride their bikes stock for years and are perfectly happy.  I just don't think that includes many of our members.  On the other hand, if it ain't broke, why fix it?
