What is the GPS of Chice these days
« on: March 11, 2013, 02:15:40 PM »

What is the GPS of Choicethese days?
Is it still the Garmin Zumo 660?

I find myself now in the market for a GPS
I notice that Garmin has a few new ones out that are for Motorcycles

I do not really need BlueTooth or XM...
Waterproof and Map Updates are a must though

Tks

your on a SERK what kind of helmet do you wear? you might want to consider bluetooth to be able to hear the GPS or use it as a music source

Your bike does not have a radio or intercom so the only way you would be able to hear the turn prompts would be via Bluetooth. You would need a Bluetooth headset to pair with a Bluetooth GPS. The Garmin Zumo or Harley road tech 660 or 665 both have Bluetooth. Other GPS options are available just make sure they have Bluetooth.

Once you've had the route instructions fed to your ears, you'll never go back.  Keeps your eyes on the road and is safer, IMO.
