Post by: longlast on October 02, 2018, 02:14:26 PM

How's it running after your multiple recent repairs and upgrades?

Looks like there is some color starting to show in the trees. When does you fall time start?

It's running top notch mate,  :2vrolijk_21:

It fires up right now when you hit the button,  no more crank, crank then clunk and start, primary noise is eliminated, can't hear the valve train anymore,  the cylinder seal leak in the valley is no more , haven't had to add any oil since the work(done about 1,500 mi or 1,800mi ? not sure)
At 70mph there's just the humming of the motor and popping of the pipes. Riding smooth and handling great.

Wednesday the 11th It's going on a dyno just to see how it's performing on paper and if any tweaking needs to be done if need be.
The fuelpak can adjust the lean/rich in real time and the pipes are a bit sooty black my dyno man says it could be a bit rich I believe it is as well It's the first-ever on a dyno for the bike  since I've had it coming up to 9yrs, don't know about it's first 3yrs if it did.
My dyno man Roy will fill me in on how it all works I'm not up to date on dynos (it's my first as well)
I'll post the read out.

So yeah all's good,  Cheers for asking.

Yup  the nice riding days are becoming increasingly further apart.  Our Autumn  (you call fall) started the 1st of September.

It's a pretty time of year.

Not much to it.  A bit of advice.  Don't go for peak hp/torque numbers as the a:f ratio will likely be a bit too rich, down around 12-13:1.  Should be more around 14:1.  But if you're running smoothly as you state you're probably pretty close.  Plug color can tell you alot as well.
