Waxing Thunderstar texured Chrome Wheel
« on: December 15, 2012, 07:18:02 PM »

Hi,
I just bought a new old stock textured chromed Thunderstar front wheel. I know I can wax the smooth chrome on the wheel but should I wax the  the textued chrome?
I cant seem to remove the wax from the pits in the textured part of the wheel. I found the new old stock textured chrome wheel (43977-00) for 350 buck verses the smooth chromed wheel was abot 700 bucks. My stock rear wheel is a solid textued chrome wheel and when wax gets in the pitts it is difficult to remove. Any  Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks,

Give S100 Polishing Soap a try.  The stuff is amazing and it's perfect for a textured area.  Put it on and rinse it off.  No residue left. :2vrolijk_21:

Use a brush to remove the excess wax, similar to what you would do after applying polish to shoes with a grain or pebble finish.

X2! A small detail brush is also great for getting around emblems and such.
