Yea, Bob...basic black goes well with almost any HD, and your trailer certainly looks just fine as is...of course, you did the OCD thing on it too, so it couldn't help but look fine... ;) 8-)

Jerry...TC's rule to Diva...NO TRAILERS to carry more of her stuff in.

Hey JR,
That may have been it, I was thinking it was a Bushtec Roadstar but that shows you how bad my memory is...

TBone, you memory is just fine. It was about a year and a half ago, I pm'd the guy and he told me it was an older Bushtec that he had repainted to match his new banana. He sent me a few pictures and I forwarded them to Bushtec to see if they could match. They were completely familiar with the trailer and said they could match it easily.
I have spent along time this afternoon trying to find that thread on this site but no luck. It was the best looking and matching paint job I've seen. You are right, he had just joined here and I don't remember seeing any post by him since.

It's good to know my memory's not completely gone.  As I remember, it was a great looking paint job and matched the  [smiley=banana.gif] really well.  I'll tell ya, that watermellon job I saw them doing was out of this world.  It had the metal flake, the stripes, the whole enchalada.

Found another but I think this one was from Bushtec, not the one from a member here.

Mark, thank you for finding that photo.  That is certainly a beautiful set up...........now JR is going to have to catch up. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Think I'd have them do the stripe a little differently........come more from the top side edge of the trailer vs. the top middle of the trailer.  But overall, it's a very nice job and we all know how hard the CVO paint job is to even get close.

Bushtec......for those who might be thinking of one.........was an incredable trailer.  I would put a five man dome tent (cause at 6'4" I could stand up in it to get dressed), a queen size air mattress with the fuzzy stuff (so the sleeping bags didn't slide around), an air pump that would plug into the cigarette lighter, two lawn chairs with the built in foot stools, a small camp table that had the four seats built in to it, two extra long sleeping bags.......the heavy cotton ones, so that they'd not slide all over like the nylon does, a set of sheets, spare wheel and tire for the trailer, our Sunday go to meetin' clothes in the garment bag inside the lid and her's and my bag with underclothes, etc. and still have plenty of room left in there for whatever we bought on the road.

In my bike, I'd keep our leathers, rain suits, flat tire kit and tools......that was it.  That trailer followed me to Canada and back and to Mexico and back.......you really get spoiled.  It opened up opportunities that I'd not have, otherwise.  Like finding a deserted back road and just setting up camp for the night next to a river on that back road, hundred yards or so from the main road.  The up side is it's a whole lot more cheaper than hotels and motels but the down sideis that when it rains.......you still have to find the hotel or motel. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  The trailer does lock up, though. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Another view. Can you picture this paint job on the newer Bushtec w/ the chrome bumper and trim?

I like the paint scheme on the older Roadstar but I think the sleaker Turbo+2 looks better. Guess that's why they make several models. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
I sure wish I had not dug those pictures up, now the left and right side of my brain are in another fight. ;D

In case there was ever any doubt that I've drunk way too much Kool Aid, here are some photos of my trip to Bushtec yesterday (March 19th).  Yeah, last month I ordered a new Turbo +II trailer with paint custom matched to my b&o jester.  I wanted to consult with Andrew Preston about the layout.  Emailing photos and drawings only go so far.  First photo is Andrew pondering the possibities.

This is not my trailer - we just pulled one from stock to mock up the layout.  Still working.

Can you see the thin tape lines that Andrew has laid out?  We must have changed this 100 times.
