Yea, it's looking pretty good. There's still pits from the rust and canker that just won't go away. I think it will always be that weay unless you replace some of the chrome. I rode it to town today and a local looked at it, and offered $15,000 as is. If he can sell it for that, he can have it. $17XXX for a brand n ew one in 05? Seems to me people that least afford it are the ones who give to much for it, just because it's in their price range.

I rode yesterday with a guy from the 81 club and one of his buddies. His buddy is certifable. He has papers to prove it. He claims the following to be 100% true. His 81 Club buddy backs it up, saying he saw the newspaper article.

Several years ago he says he had a 750 HondaK engine custom built. Claims he had the transmission turned around backwards to get more top end speed. Says he was doing 184.6 MPH down a 4 lane highway when the front wheel exploded. Says he slid 7/10's of a mile down the highway. Parts of the bike was picked up all over the highway and median for weeks. Says he was pronounced dead at the scene, DOA at the hospital and then they saw his arm flinch. Back broke in 8 places, face rebuilt several times over and of course, several other claims. I couldn't swear it was true or not. He does BS a lot. For instance:

Day before yesterday claims his wife said his atty called and he needs to stop by and sign some papers. He got there and it was divorce papers.

We were sitting under a shed at the country club eating a burger when one guy says, TRENT, (a local teenager) Looks like you grew two feet since I seen you last, Nutso says. Looks like he only has a foot on each leg to me just like the rest of us.

Nutso had a real kentucky accent. Says he was at a bike rally and a couple from England was there. They asked where he was from and he told them Ky. They got all excited and asked if he was a Ky Hillbilly. His reply was "yup". They begged to have their picture taken with him because they wanted to show their friends.

I'd be glad to have my picture taken with anyone from this site for $5 a pop. You supply the camera.

I took off work this afternoon and cleaned out the garage. I was hot and sweaty so made  a beer run. 1/2 mile before I get home, I'm leaning over in a sharp curve at 70 MPH in a 35 mile zone, and a chicken flutters up right in front of me. Evidently the chicken knew I couln't avoid him in the curve so she made some weird ass maneuver and missed me.

Does insurance cover a collision with a chicken? That woulda made a huge mess.

2005 was the last year with the good looking rear fender (new one is too flat looks like it came off a honda).

I read somewhere that the Wide Glide is the most stolen HD.

I thought about buying a leftover 2005 with a custom paint set.  It's still available. See pic.

I'm sitting here caught up with my work. The sun is shining. It's beautiful outside today. I'm about to start checking the inside of my eyelids for cracks.  My Harley is in the garage at home. I'm self employed. WHY am I still here?
