Alarm problems :(
« on: February 15, 2006, 03:01:02 AM »

I bought a Smart siren II  the one that pages you, when the alarm goes off.

The dealer said it would take a bit to charge the Batt. of the siren unit.

It has been 330 miles and almost 2 months and it still will not arm!!  nor flash the security key on my '01 FLSTF

Please  what can I do to fix?   has any one gone and charged the 9v. batt.  with a regular home charger?

  All help is knoledge thanks!!!

Ya there is something wrong with your alarm. When I installed mine, I rode the bike for 15 minutes and it was enough to get it sqwaking.

Only 330 miles in 2 months? Get riding Gabe! In the same time I have 2K on mine! You spend too much time in the Bee.

OK here you go!  you must use the factory key fob to work the alarm.  and the Smart siren II  is just a fancy pager.  it dose not arm or dis arm the system :(    we were all under the impression it was also an alarm fob also!

Sound like your dealer service guys need to get some education [smiley=nixweiss.gif] or you need a new smarter one.
