We did something new today.. we went for ride this afternoon. No, that's not the new something...the fact that I was wearing a T-Shirt was the new something we did! Definitely never able to do that in November back north in CT  :P  after about a month we're finally starting to feel "settled in" at our new place in TN and since it's only the two of us for this holiday we took advantage of the warm weather and complete lack of traffic to go out for a few hours.

Took part in one of our favorite activities, "I wonder were this road goes" for several hours exploring the area around the new home. Really nice ride through some rural areas with plenty of horses, cattle and even some goats being seen. Once we were ready to head back home it was time to consult the GPS for the route.

Paula wants me to tell ya I got me a new pickup truck!!  ----  it's the company truck  ::) , but she insists it's "mine"......

And just like we knew was going to be the case we're loving it here.

I've been studying paper maps and Google in an attempt to plan a few adventures when we have the time to dedicate a whole day to exploring.

Took Terri on a 75 mile ride after lunch. Beautiful 74 degree sunny day. Could have ridden a lot more but since she has had a back issue since the WVA GTG I think I will bring her back up to long rides at a slow pace. Don't want to break her again.

Glad to hear she's able to at least climb on it for short distances. Hope she's doing better.

Bruce, A couple of our favorites is a route from Triune(hwy96 & Horton Hwy) down to Lynchburg then across 129 to Lynnville and up through Columbia back to Franklin.  Also From Loveless CafĂ© down Natchez Trace as far as you want to ride and back up to Leipers Fork and back to Franklin. Another is go down Natchez Trace to Alabama, then across to Muscle Shoals and back up through Lawrenceburg to Franklin.  Center Hill Lake also has some nice routes around it.

Much better Mike thanks.  Now of course she goes to physical therapy 2 to 3 times a week and has been since the GTG.  I didn't realize how messed up her back was.  They have put her on a regiment of stretches and exercises that help a lot. As long as she stays disciplined and does them I see a future with her being able to ride with me again.

I've finally given in and went to see a surgeon about my back. A few PM's with JCZ got some ideas and we're going to try a shot or two in my back to see if we can ease the pain a little. Only thing I can do that doesn't cause discomfort or a numbness in my left index finger is ride the bike. Too bad I can't do that for a living. I can't even sleep more than 4 hours without waking up in pain. Tried 3 different mattresses in the last 3 years so I don't think that's it. Spinal Stinosis (sic) is what the vet says it is.
