Monday morning, I stated out at 0400 for the Iron butt 1000 miles in 24 hours.  Stopped in Conway AR for dinner and some sleep after 1030 miles in 15 hours and 45 minutes.  Then left at 0430 to do the last 500 miles for my 1500 miles in 36 Hours.  Finished that by 1300 with 3 hours to spare.

Washed the bike when I got home.  Have to get all the pictures and paper work together to submit for my Saddle Sore 1000 and my Butt Burner 1500.

Congrats Dave!!!

Retired Navy myself, so I did not want it, saw enough gray.  Saw it in person and changed my mind right away.

Road another 200 miles yesterday.  Had some errands to do and drop vent screens off at the powder coaters.

I picked up my vent screens from the powder coater yesterday.  I also put just over 200 miles on the bike doing some errands.  Plan to ride over to Wheels Through Time with a few others today.

Hi Dave, Post a picture of the vented screens installed. Thanks so much.

Updated navigation maps 2018. Pay attention: Boombox software 1.21.3 is required. Version 1.21.2 has problems and the update of the navigation map will end in a loop "Software update... please wait...".

Vickie and I enjoyed a ride to Murphy, NC this afternoon. I tinkered with the FP3 and autotune on the trip. Worked great and Beauregard is running fine.

Plugged  the tender to it. We're taking the car on vacation for the first time in 4 years. Figured I'd let it keep the battery charged while we're gone.

Did you have good fall colors for your ride?  Went over the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon Wednesday, very little color.  Yesterday we went over 441, Gatlinburg to Cherokee and the colors were pretty good, same on parkway to Maggie Valley.

Yesterday was a great day to ride.  May ride the bike to SMHD today to drop it off and have the apes put on.  Looks like bad weather for several days

Replaced the front fender damaged trailering to MV GTG.  Have to give thanks to Boardtracker HD.  Supplied a factory painted CVO fender at 20% discount delivered to my door one week after ordering.  Still don’t like trailering touring bikes.

I completely understand you not liking to trailer, but I'm wondering how you damaged your fender when doing so?  :nixweiss:

I use what I consider the best chock on the market https://wheeldock.com/products/wheeldock?variant=26294025411 and have never damaged a fender, "touch wood".  :2vrolijk_21:

Grizzly, my trailer is an open utility trailer which I had recently restained the floor. While loading the bike in the wet by myself my foot slipped out from under me just as I hit the top of ramp trailer floor and bike laid over against metal railing.  Not the best trailer for hauling a big bike and have since put non-slip coating on its floor.  Chock is a top of line Condor, but turn over occurred before I got the wheel in it.

Boardtracker quoted a 30 day lead time on the fender but shipped out three days after order. Pretty easy order, just supplied my VIN.

Really no fall colors to speak of anywhere along the route, Dave. This rain coming through will either get em started or knock them all off the trees.
