Thanks guys for all the nice comments on my new seat.

I enjoyed a good ride on it this past weekend and although the old seat was not uncomfortable, the new one with the gel pad is that much better!  Possibly it's an age thing?  :P

I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Thanks again.

Very Nice Griz! I didn't see what brand it is.

Actually it is my original CVO stock seat.  After coming up with a design I had a local upholsterer cut in the gel pads while recovering it, and he arranged for the embroidery work to be done.

Actually, it was yesterday.  Went for a little ride by myself....a serenity ride...just to blow the cobwebs out.....here....

This brings back some great memories. I was fortunate to spend several years out there in the early eighties and loved the riding and the people.

I'm on day 7 of my 15 day no ride order from my surgeon. I planned ahead and ordered Khrome Works 10" Bagger Bars and a new set of slip ons.  These were the first two items on my list of things I wanted to do to my new to me scooter. I made arrangements to have my son take my head pipe to have it welded after I gutted it so I dug in this morning and started disassembly. I feel like I won a lottery.
I pulled the bags off and found Progressive rear shocks. So now I am not only happily surprised but understand why it handles so much better than I had anticipated. I pull the heat sheilds off and notice the head pipe looks different than stock. I pulled the slip ons off and shine a light in there and it is wide open to the O2 sensors. Now I even happier but wondering why I was getting so much heat on the right and the slip ons had been nearly welded in place. I look thru the slip ons and can only see a pin hole of light. New ones have 2-1/2" thru baffle and no other restriction. I fired it up and the neighbor who is not a fan of loud came over with a huge smile on his face. "What are those they sound awesome?" I told him they are Tennessee Tips from JP cycle and they are my third set. He said he had missed the sound of the '06 I traded. I did too. I think the heat will lessen now too. Tomorrow is bar day. If anyone recognizes the head pipe please let me know what kind it is. I'm still grinning. 330.00 for the bars, bushings and mufflers and then the surprises. Previous owner wherever you are THANK YOU!

Well, yesterday, I rode 12 hrs of back roads home from DeLand Florida to Madisonville Tennessee. 586 miles and a sore butt.

Icewater, that head pipe looks a bit like the Fuelmoto 2/1/2.  Hard to tell as cant see the crossover very well.  I had one on my 2011 Limited.  Mine has slightly reduced diameter crossover and additional plugged O2 bungs up near the heads.

Thank you much. The crossover is slightly reduced. I aporeciate the info. I haven't gotten to ride it so if I end up needing to adjust the tune it will help. Previous owner also left his tuner but I will have to register it with Dyno Tech and don't know if any info will transfer.
Thanks again

That tuner is married to the bike. Not the previous owner. Not sure if it will need registered again.

Thank you. I think I remember that now. I had the same one on my '06 I traded on this bike and left it go with the bike since I got one with this one. I goofed up and let the booklet go too but I figure I can find what I need online or adk here. Thanks again.
