Agree, but not many “opportunity” thieves have a set with them and not many will take the time to get the correct size from Home Depot or Amazon.
Point is, no matter what the thief is after he’ll eventually take the entire bike and part it out to get what he (she) wants.

Remember the past when they took saddlebags? Always a temporary fix for that.
Get good insurance!

I'm sure the new fork upgrade is big difference.  The old oil and springs wear a bit in 81K miles.   New rubber is always nice.

Got to try out my new suspension upgrades and new rubber yesterday.

Amazing ride quality with new SE rear shocks and Racetech front fork setup!
We have awesome weather for a few days and touring the desert area around Palm Springs.
Got some freeway and lots of back roads. Twisty roads, straight roads, rough roads, ripple roads, just about everything!

I may set my suspension one click softer just to play with it.  :nixweiss:

Life is good! :2vrolijk_21:

Hey Mike,

Looks like life is real tough, eh?  (Had to throw in a little Canadian lingo)

You're there sitting around the pool enjoying an after dinner refreshment no doubt and we're freezing our butts off up here, but thankfully not nearly the snow Buffalo had received.  Yikes!

Enjoy!

No disrespect to anyone caught in the cold winter weather!
My wife won’t move, and we’re pretty much stuck in SoCal!
It’s not so bad if you know how to deal with it all.

Very true on thieves, most are opportunity.  They don't have specialty tools.  They take what is easy.  That said, I keep my bags locked, my helmet is about the only easy thing to take on my bike and my seat.  I also have good insurance.

Jealous of the weather.  Monday we received the most snow I have seen since I moved here in Sept 2001, 9".  It was -2 yesterday morning, snow is staying 4 days, longest I have seen it last was three days.  We will be back in 50's next week, will be able to ride I hope.

This very unusual for here.  I have been here 22 years and this is the most snow I have ever seen and the longest it has lasted.  Normally an inch, maybe two and gone the next day or two.  Once or twice a year.  I am able to ride most weeks year round.  2 weeks is the longest weather has kept me from riding.

They have assigned me a parking spot at the local HD dealer for one week.
After that it may be flagged for tow  :nixweiss:

How many dealers open 7 days a week?

My local dealer is open 7 days a week except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  Or like last week, so much snow everything was shut.  Schools are still shut.

Had to move the bikes around a little.
The green one gets a new clutch (arrived today on ups) up on the lift! MAY have to replace lifters depending on my next “test ride”. Got those on the shelf as well.

The cvo moved to the right  bay, the softail will be ridden tomorrow so it gets closer to the doors.

Spent most of my day doing chores but tomorrow should be the same as today: light winds, temp in the mid to high 70’s.

Life is good.😊

Installed the Chopped Tour Pack on my Whiskey Neat yesterday.  Second time trying, Harley did not include mounting Hardware with the Tour Pack or the key matched lock.  Also no Instructions with either.  I was able to print instructions for mounting the Tour Pack so I could get the mounting Hardware at ACE.  Being the lock is a dealer only item I could not get the instructions on line to figure out the two button head cap screws I needed.  So a trip to the dealer, 56 miles one way.  They don't have then in stock, but they give me the size.  Yesterday, I found out the size they gave me is wrong.

I did put the tour pack on, then took an 85 mile ride.  I think it looks pretty good.

Clear 3M film installed so putting on and off tour pack or luggage rack I don't scratch the paint

Wow. The Tour Pack looks absolutely great. This is a very nice addition and fits your bike perfectly.
