What Comes in the Box?
« on: October 01, 2018, 01:28:21 PM »

I was wondering what comes with the 2019 CVO Limited.   Anyone know?

My 2012 CVO Ultra came with a golden key, an embroidered bike cover, head sets, luggage inserts for the tour pack and saddlebags etc...

Do they still do that stuff?

Thanx in advance,

I don't know but if you can access the owners manual for the bike, maybe @ Harley-Davidson.com, you should be able to get the correct list. I have had to show this to dealer on my last two bikes before leaving when they were new. Both times some of the stuff had mysteriously been left on tech's bench.

No gold key, they still include things like the garage door opener, headsets, etc.  Take a look at the attached pdf that lists all the loose parts Harley ships with the bike.  Some of them are installed by the dealership, some are provided directly to you when you pick up the new bike.  The owners manual will also have a list of all the extra items.

My road glide came with bag inserts. Cover and 1 headset. And big fat payment book.

Don't let that distract you from the fact that In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The  A-Team.

Thanx y'all....

I'm mixed on the saddlebag liners....they take up so much room....only to cover the cables etc...

I also was told that the bike auto locks when you walk away (versus hitting a button on the FOB).   Is this true?

Thanx again,

this is from the owner's manual:

as far as self-locking, the manual doesn't mention anything about that, so doubt it.

You were supposed to get one, go back and see your dealer. This is why it's a good idea for customers to do some research and have a list of items they can check off during the new vehicle delivery process.  I've seen reports from a lot of people over the years who did not get everything they were supposed to receive.  One even reported not getting the highway pegs the dealer is supposed to install, others have reported not getting the rain sock, the bag liners, the garage door opener receiver, even the cover for the bike.  Find the complete list in the owners manual and check off the items you received or were installed when you pick up the bike.

yep, if you didn't get it, and didn't ask for it, then it's a freebie for the tech....

same way on trade ins.  i left some (small, low dollar) stuff with my bike when i traded it in, met the guy who bought it, and sure enough, it wasn't on the bike when he bought it. the bad part about it though, one of the items was a saddle bag lid tether organizer.  well, one of em got that, but they could have at least given the dude a stock lid tether.  luckily, i still had mine from when i switched them out in the first place, so went ahead and gave them to him so his lids would have some kind of support.

On my bike, the anti-theft system sets when you walk away with the fob, but it doesn't auto lock.

Same here for the guy who bought my trade-in RG.  Stealer (tech) took the KlockWerks w/s and the BushTec hitch, draw bar, and pin hitch with lock.  When he went back to the dealer, they said, "oh, we must have forgotten.  It's around here somewhere.  We'll find it for you."  Good thing the buyer didn't hold his breath:  "We couldn't find any of those things."

I did not get the sock with my 19 Road Glide. Checked with my service writer and he checked and got back with me that it did not come with it.

I checked my manual and it does NOT list it.

I thought it should have come with it too which is how I found this thread.

Harley obviously made a mistake.  The parts list for the 2019 CVO Limited and CVO Street Glide DO show one rain sock, the same list for the CVO Road Glide does NOT.  One might think that is because the LTD and SG come with a Ventilator air cleaner and the RG comes with a Heavy Breather, but if you look at any of the HB kits in the catalog they also come with a rain sock.

Mine also did not come with a sock.    I thought that it should have also because my 2016 SG came with one but was told the same thing.    ‘19 Road Glides don’t come with a rain sock.  I double checked the owners manual and the Harley website and they agreed that they do not come with.

I guess you are not supposed to ride a CVO Road Glide in the rain!
