I installed the Bushtec trailer hitch today and hooked up the trailer.
Going back down to the shop in the morning to install the wire harness,  than chase the front fender down the street to see how it pulls.

https://mstore.harley-davidson.com/store/fan-assisted-oil-cooler-kit

I've had this on my wish list but have not pulled the trigger yet.   I have not installed one on a CVO but I have installed the standard oil cooler on a Road Glide Special for my Son In Law and it was VERY EASY.   I noted at the time that the harness for the fan is already there and just plugged off.    Only difference might be dealing with the fang but I think that the lower sections are pretty easy to remove.

Thanks for the part number.  Yes, I know the plug is there, you just have to toggle to fan to on in the bike software.  Fang is a difficult to remove and a bigger pain to get back on.

"Do you have the H-D part number for the fan assisted oil cooler that fits the 19 CVO RG?  How hard was the instal?  I am sure the fang had to come off completely to install it."

Compared to what you have done to your bike Dave its a piece of cake! I have been following your build and I am very impressed. Not sure I am ready to go there yet but thinking about it.

Not sure if you could remove the chin spoiler without removing the side fairing spoiler. For me I needed to remove the outer fairing so that came off first then the fang spoiler then the chin spoiler. All the stock plumbing is used with the exception of a couple of hose clamps. There are two T27 screws holding the oil cooler in place. The one on the right side requires a tight access drive wrench to remove. I bought the fan assisted oil cooler from from Surdyke for $271.00. The part # is 62700204.

Did you have Fullsac's power cores on without their headpipe. If so how did they sound. Did you use their Techmat Blankets as well.

Okay on removing the fang, sure do not want to do it again but I am sure I will need the oil cooler.  Fan can be removed with out removing any of the fairing, but you start at fairing and work down.

Yes I have used the power cores, 2.25 both with out his head pipe and with his head pipe.  The sound pretty good on the stock head pipe, not to loud.  Nice at cruise but when you crack the throttle they sound nice.  Yes I use the tech mat and screens to hold it in place, I think it sounds better.

Took a 2 hour 100 mile ride that was essential to get donuts.

I put 65 miles on the 13 CVO King, first time I have rode it since I finished the build on the 19 CVO.  The King still has plenty of power with its build and is a blast to ride.

Today I'll hopefully ride the CVO RG for a couple essential trips if it quits raining.  I need to wash it also.

Nothing...but did a 5,000 mile service on my dad’s 2003 Road King Classic, getting it ready for our annual trip to the Smokies (if we can still go by mid-May). Took it for a 25 mile hot-lap, you know “just to make sure it’s good-to-go.” He bought it new in 03 and it’s an absolute cream puff, a real joy to ride!  He’s 71 now and still super-pumped about our annual ride! Sadly, he mentioned to me that this was likely my last time to service it for him, that next time it’ll likely be mine.  I hope he’s wrong and puts another 35,000 miles on it!

I got both bikes washed yesterday.  Then I rode the CVO RG to DR and other needs for a total of 104 miles.

Today going to Ride again with a few friends and practice social distancing with a picnic lunch.

Roads are not busy, gas is cheap, weather is great.  After the rain clears this morning will ride for a couple of hours or so.

Riding mostly favorite local roads & tried a few new ones but so far they have been dead ends or turned into rough rutted messes.  It's all good, wondered where some of them went now I know.

Went for a ride the other day, stopped for gas, station was closed, for about 40 years!

Not sure why anyone would stop for gas at a station that’s been closed for 40 years, maybe dementia, hope you didn’t have to walk far for gas. LOL

Did service on both bikes and completed the external breather setups today on both bikes. Now for it to warm up again and the local road department was finally around sweeping the antiskid off the roads it'll be time to ride.

Ended up riding 258 miles on the CVO RG yesterday with 9 friends, so following social distancing rules.  Nice picnic lunch.  Got home, and realized I will not be riding the RG again until it gets new rubber in the back, there is no tread at all left.

I will be ordering a new Dunlop American elite for the CVO RG today.

I also plan to get the CVO King out and take her for a nice ride today.
