Saw this 2010 FLSTSE for sale on eBay. Does anyone know where he got these docking covers? Pics to follow.

Those don't look like the Harley part I've seen.  The HD kit is a complete chrome slip on magnetic cover.  Look at HD part number 42182-05.

Ooops, just checked that part number and looks to be obsolete now.  Hopefully rather than gone completely someone will know a part number that is a supercession.

Pardon me as I continue this conversation with myself.  The voices are bored this morning.  In the P&A catalog (who'd have thought to look there!?!?) there is now a fitment matrix with the covers broken down by front and rear.  Check it out....

If too small to read click on the image.  It'll get bigger.  Just like... ah, never mind.

Anything in that fitment matrix suggest it will fit better?  Is the detachable kit for the CVO bike somehow different than the kit for the stock bikes?

yes, the FLSTSE docking point is longer then other bikes because it detaches backrest and side bags.

When all is said and done it's just a hollow tube with a magnet in the end.  Find a good local machine.  Get him to bore out a piece of appropriately sized billet, send it off to the chrom shop and glue a magnet in the end.
