Well, I'm not sure what the difference is but mine has two wires for each speaker, then a circuit board with two short jumpers connected to the board and the cone. The box says " boom I/II lower fairing speakers " and I ran the wires and plugged them into the newly purchased female side of the deutch connector and coupled them together. What's yours look like?

Plugged the wires into the harness connector for testing. My goal on this is to run boom 1, exchanging the rear tourpak speakers (the tourpak is quick disconnect removed) for lower fairing speakers, allowing for fade adjustments, showing them as rear speakers by plugging into the deutch connector on the harness side, with a female connector and allowing for a quick switch back to the tourpak pods when I need the tourpak.
Nice write up and pics King Glide!

This is exactly what I think I'm going to do with mine as well. Can I ask what size female deutch connector you used?

I didn't put them in the lowers, just replaced all the original ones with the Boom II ones and added the 2nd amp. I just checked the specs on the LF speakers on MoCo's site and see how they went about that. It's the crossover that's right on the speaker.

Ptnlinda, the connector you want is the 16 pin connector that unplugs about a foot in front of the tourpak. You will only find it though HD because it appears to be made specifically for HD, I looked everywhere for it, the cost is $16 for each half of the connector, you only need the female half so don't buy the male side.

Thanks KingGlide. Appreciate that. Will try and get it. You don't have the Part Number by any chance?

Yes I do, 72166-07BK ......connector socket, black 16 hole. $13

While you are at it buy a couple of :
72168-07 terminal socket, 52 cents ea.

Because you might break one along the way, and they are way cheaper than driving back to the shop for one after you quit cursing. Lol

Thanks Mate appreciate that. After some web surfing found that the Molex Part Number for this Terminal Socket is 33472-1601. Have ordered one over the net so all good.
