Title: So, What's Everyone Doing For New Year's Eve?

We're all wishing each other a Very Healthy and Happy New Year around here, and we wish ya'll the same, but what are ya'll doing tonight? ???

Binx and I are staying local, and going to a party in the neighborhood being hosted by a friend from my old riding crew! It'll be great seeing them again, and welcoming in the New Year together! It's also only 1/2 mile away! Extra Bonus! :2vrolijk_21:

I'm not a fan of travelling very far on New Year's Eve, Way too many amateurs on the road that night! :nixweiss:

Nada!!! After all the gatherings for Christmas, Al and I plan on staying home, have a few cocktails, and watch movies. A nice quiet evening at home.

Jamey and I plan to have a nice quiet meal at home, regroup in the TV watching room in our respective recliners and try to keep our eyes open till at least 10:00 PM.  So for those of you going out, be safe.  For those of you staying in, enjoy the comforts.  For everyone, a Very Happy New Year wish being sent to all our fellow CVO boys and girls.  Looks like 2009 is going to be a goodun.

Hangin loose, Schmoops works early on the 1st....Pisco sours, roast pork and of course black eyed peas n greens until it is fireworks time....I have some shells for my autoloader shotgun I am gonna blast off, we'll see how well they work, plenty of pyro-neighboors to add to a local show...

Kandy and I are going over to some friends for dinner and conversation. He's a riding buddy so we can talk about the fun we had this summer and plan for next spring. We'll be home by 11 and out to the world by the time the new year comes in.

I've pretty much rowdied-on-down.  I'd probably be content to sleep into the New Year.  But, my dad has decided he wants to have a domino tournament.  Probably be a few of us do some pickin  :guitarist: sometime during the evening.  Mom called yesterday giving Sheri details about the pot-luck dinner.  Happy to spend time with dad & mom.... can do all the other stuff anytime.

Plans and reality are two separate issues.
had some drinks st 9 , ate some munchies, more drinks, sat on couch at 1130 to enjoy festivities.
woke up at 130 and went to bed. wooopie

We spent the night in the ER waiting for Terry to pass a stone. We are home now (Thurs. am) and she feels a little better.   I've got the duty today and will cook a turducken for the family and celebrate our health and for a Happy New Year.
...and that goes for all our extended family here too  :beerchug:   Doc

All the best to Terry. Hope she continues to feel better. That Turducken would be a shame too miss. You've got me wanting one now  :) :pepper:

Wow, hope everyone who wanted to go out and party, did safely and returned home.   We were in bed before 11:00 and awoke without red eyes, or muddled brains.  MMMMMM, amazing.  Happy New Year to all our friends.
