Crusty,

Welcome to the site from Djibouti. Great intro. How did the conversation go with the wife. Mine doesn't know that I have already bought an 09 cuse. Pick it up in about two weeks once I get back to the states. May have to go on another six month deployment and wait until she cools down!!! I was stationed in Japan for about 5 years down in Sasebo. Loved the people and the area. Best tour I've had so far. Had a Honda 650 while I was there and when the weather cooperated it was some great riding. Would like to go back and do one more tour there before I retire.

Thanks for the welcome!

Truthfully she gave up on me and my obsessions a long time ago, and she knows I've been eyeballing the bike for awhile now, so it wasn't any big deal... she's great; wouldn't trade her for anything!

Welcome, from Tacoma WA. Glad to hear your going to be on a great bike with a lot of personality!!!!

Cool, another WA member!

Any intel on Downtown HD? I beleive that is where I'm going to end up having my bike delivered. Any other dealership in the area that would be better?

Here's my story; I am in the AF and am buying the bike through the military sales program. They'll deliver to any dealership in the States... my problem is, I'm probably going to end up being stationed in Hawaii (rough, I know... lol). So I'll just be picking my bike up from the dealer, who has no vested interest in treating me right, because I'll not be coming back to give them any business any time soon, if ever. I wish they'd just deliver straight to Hawaii, so I could get started on a relationship with the delaer I'll be taking the bike to for the next several years (not to mention the bike will be shipped crated, versus me handing it over prepped and road-ready to a shipping company who is likely to dork something up on my bike that will only have a couple hundred miles on it.  :'( )

OK, that was a really long ramble, sorry... lol
