Cam choice
« on: March 25, 2019, 12:06:38 PM »

Looking for a cam for my 2018 M8 CVO Limited. What would be a good choice.. Im not into running the motor at high RPM's looking for more lower end power up to say 3000-4000 RPM's. Was looking at the HD 447 Cam. Will also go with adjustable push rods.. No other mods planned. I already have a TTS Tuner, D & D headpipe & 2" Fullsac baffles in mufflers..

TTS 150

Or the RS 468

HD cams are junk.

TTS 100 or 150. 100 hits right off idle and carries to about 4200, 150 hits a bit later but carries a bit further.

I run a TTS 200 with the SE stage 3 114" (high compression) and love the cam.  Pulls great all the way to 4,500.  Excellent low speed driveability as well.

I went with the 22X on my 2019. I’m very happy with it.  Lots of low end torque.

I'm also going with the Woods 22X. You can take a look at the FuelMoto site for CAM comparisons. There's a YouTube video posted by Cool Springs HD for the CAM shootout they did as well.

Here's a RS472 cam in a 2019 114, It has those Bone Shaker Mufflers on it, hence the low end tq loss. It did turn out pretty good over all though, tuned by J&B Performance.

Here is my bike with the S&S 475 cam, S&S Sidewinder 2-n-1 exhaust. Pulls real good and the exhaust is awesome. Had a bit of clutch slip but not too bad.
